RECENTLY APPROVED BYLAW AMENDMENTS
The Ministry of Health Services has recently approved several amendments to the College Bylaws, which came into force on December 18, 2011. These amendments provide for a small increase to registration renewal fees, and clarify who is eligible to vote and to be elected to the Board. To see a Schedule

The amendments to section 2 of the Bylaws regarding Elected Members (of the Board) do not materially affect a registrant’s eligibility to vote or to be elected to the Board. The purpose of this amendment is only to establish the College’s long-standing policy and practice in the bylaws for clarity.
COLLEGE ACTIVITIES
The College is currently involved in:
- Providing theory examinations in May and November
- Ongoing Inspections of Laboratories ---
the College will be checking to ensure that:
*prescriptions from dentists are available for all dental technology services
* records are kept as required under the Bylaws
* laboratories are observing registration /supervision ratio requiremets
* services provided to denturists are provided according to the legislation
PUBLIC MEMBER APPOINTMENT
- Mr. Harvey Grigg, BScF has been appointed as a public member for a one-year term, ending May 2012.
