Career in Dental Technology The College of Dental Technicians is established by Regulation under the Health Professions Act to regulate the profession of Dental Technology in British Columbia.

The College must at all times act in the public interest and operate under the principles of natural justice and procedural fairness.

 PROPOSED BYLAW AMENDMENTS

On September 20, 2014, the Board of the College of Dental Technicians of BC approved amendments to Sections 2. (2) and (3), Section 3. (4), and Sections 4. (2) and (3) of the bylaws regarding Non-practicing Dental Technician registrants’ eligibility to vote in an election for the Board by the following Motion:

RESOLVED THAT, in accordance with the authority established in Section 19 (1)(i) of the Health Professions Act, and subject to filing with the Minister as required by Section (3) of the Health Professions Act, the Board amends the Bylaws of the College of Dental Technicians of British Columbia as set out in the Schedule attached to this resolution.

These Bylaw amendments will allow Non-practicing Dental Technician registrants to be eligible to vote in an election for the Board.

A copy of the proposed amendments are being provided to BC health professions colleges and posted on the College website as required by the Act to ensure that the public and other interested stakeholders may view the proposed changes and provide comment if desired.
